Managing Beyond the Basics

Managing Beyond the Basics provides an opportunity to assess management strengths and challenges through 360˚ feedback facilitated by a certified coach. After the 360˚ feedback process is completed, participants will work on three elective options that focus on their specific personal development goals.  This program is designed for those who: 

  • have UT management experience and are ready to expand their expertise,
  • are ready to utilize feedback in creating a professional development plan, and
  • comfortably apply the knowledge and competencies associated with the Management Essentials program.

The following course is a prerequisite for this certificate:

Introduction to Professional Development - UTLearn (PN 625) [EID required]

Elective Courses

Three elective courses are required for completion of this certificate. These electives are customized to individual needs based on 360° feedback. To claim credit for the electives, participants must complete a development worksheet. This worksheet may be requested via email (
